The Pottsgrove Recreation Board will be holding interviews in  April. If you are NOT available for an interview until May or beginning of June, but are interested in applying, please contact Pam Ball to arrange for an interview date. We will start contacting applicants the first week of April to schedule interviews.  

Starting with the 2027 Summer Session ALL Summer Playground Staff will NEED to reapply for a position each summer. Availability will be based on past performance, years of service and availability.

All Summer Playground Employees will be required to have an interview and participate in training prior to the start of the summer playground.  All Playground Staff MUST have current clearances on file. Once you are hired you will be told if you need these clearances. If hired, please download, print and complete each form prior to first day of camp. All forms should be submitted to the Director. The PRB pays all fees associated with these clearances. 

No experience necessary . All counselors should be at least 16 and have some experience working with children.  Counselors in Training (CIT- a Volunteer position) may be 14 years of age and want to learn, interact and be active with the children. Jr. Counselors are those 15 year olds who were CIT the previous year or have previous experience.  Senior Counselors are those with a minimum of 2 years experience who wish to take on more of a leadership role and have demonstrated their ability to do so. 

We are open to volunteer opportunities for students who need hours for school or adults who wish to give back to the community. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to Pam Ball.
